Generate
Solar panels generate electricity from daylight. The inverter converts it into electricity that the property can use.
MCS-certified solar installation
Professionally installed solar panel and battery storage systems for homes and businesses.
Solar and battery options
Solar panel installation
Solar photovoltaic panels convert daylight into electricity. An inverter converts that electricity into a form that can be used at the property.
The appropriate installation depends on the property, the available space and how much sunlight reaches the proposed panel location. Electricity use and the existing electrical installation also need to be considered before a system is proposed.
Only Electrical installs solar panel systems for homes and businesses. The proposed panels, inverter and installation work are detailed in a written quotation before work begins.

Battery storage installation
Battery storage can hold electricity generated by solar panels for use when solar generation is lower or has stopped.
A battery can be considered with a new solar installation or discussed as a separate requirement. The property, intended use and required capacity need to be considered before equipment is proposed.
Battery systems do not all operate in the same way, and backup power during a power cut should not be assumed. If backup power is important, include this when explaining your requirements.

Solar and battery together
In a typical combined system, the property can use the electricity generated by its solar panels first. Surplus generation can then charge the battery for later use.
Solar panels generate electricity from daylight. The inverter converts it into electricity that the property can use.
Electricity generated by the panels can be used while it is available, reducing the amount taken from the grid at that time.
Electricity not used immediately can be stored in the battery for later. Further surplus may be exported to the grid, depending on the system and export arrangements.
The balance between using, storing and exporting electricity depends on the system design, the amount being generated and how electricity is used at the property.
Planning an installation
A free visit provides an opportunity to discuss what you want from the installation and consider how a suitable system could work at the property.
This includes whether you are considering solar panels, battery storage or both, along with how electricity is currently used and what you would like the system to do.
The proposed panel location, available installation space and existing electrical installation can then be considered before equipment and work are quoted.

Solar and battery questions
Yes. Solar photovoltaic panels use daylight and do not require constant direct sunlight. The amount of electricity generated varies with the available light and the proposed panel location.
Available installation space, orientation, shading and the condition of the proposed location all need to be considered. The existing electrical installation and how electricity is used at the property are also relevant when proposing a system.
Yes. You can enquire about battery storage as a separate requirement. The property and existing electrical installation will need to be considered before suitable equipment can be proposed.
Not every battery installation provides backup power. If this is important to you, mention it when making your enquiry so it can be considered when discussing the proposed system.
